Police Deny Permission for KTR's Farmers' Protest in Nalgonda

The police have refused to allow K.T. Rama Rao’s (KTR) planned farmers’ protest in Nalgonda, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow. The decision was made considering the ongoing Gram Sabhas in the district and the increased traffic on highways due to the Sankranti festive season.

The proposed protest site, located near the highway, raised concerns about disrupting public movement. The police highlighted that holding the protest at this location could cause inconvenience to travelers and residents. Safety and traffic management were cited as the main reasons for denying permission.

KTR and his team have been outspoken about farmers’ issues and had planned the protest to highlight their demands. Despite this, the police stressed the importance of maintaining order and preventing congestion during a time when highways are experiencing heavy traffic.
