Speaking to the media, Kavitha expressed her disappointment, saying, “We initiated the fight for the Turmeric Board, yet we were not invited to its inauguration. This is disheartening.” She also took the opportunity to criticize BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri, accusing him of making baseless and irrelevant statements.

Kavitha highlighted the efforts made by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government in supporting farmers. She pointed out that it was during the BRS regime that the Spices Board had been established. According to her, a well-rounded, three-pronged strategy is necessary to genuinely support turmeric farmers and improve their livelihoods.
