The Minister stated that MRI scanning services would soon be available at the hospital. A new MRI machine, costing around ₹10 crore, will be installed, and the service is expected to begin by Ugadi. Additionally, the hospital will soon offer super-speciality medical services in cardiology, neurosurgery, urology, and nephrology.

During a review meeting on Friday, the Health Minister directed officials from the Medical Education Department to take immediate steps for these upgrades. Local MLAs highlighted the challenges faced by patients, who currently need to travel to Hyderabad for advanced medical treatments. They urged the Minister to provide these super-speciality services at Mahabubnagar General Hospital to reduce the burden on patients and their families.
