BRS Leader KTR Challenges Revanth Reddy Over Loan Waiver Claims
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) issued a bold challenge on Friday, stating that he, along with his party MLAs, would resign if Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy could prove that the loan waiver scheme was 100 percent implemented.
KTR made these remarks during the ‘Rythu Deeksha’ event organized by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) at Shahbad in the Chevella Assembly constituency. He criticized the Congress government, accusing it of failing to deliver on its promises. KTR claimed that after announcing six guarantees, the Congress had only provided free bus rides to women, calling it a token gesture instead of substantial action.
The BRS leader also took aim at Revanth Reddy’s leadership, alleging that he had failed to fulfill even a single promise in Telangana. “Revanth Reddy, who couldn’t implement the guarantees here, is now claiming responsibility for their implementation in Delhi. This is the biggest joke I have ever heard,” KTR remarked. He further accused Revanth of owing Rs. 17,500 per acre to every farmer in the state.
KTR went on to suggest that the public should file cheating cases against Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, accusing them of betraying the people of Telangana. He claimed that voters who believed in the Congress’ promises were now regretting their decision and blaming Revanth Reddy for their disappointment.
In a sharp attack, KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy had no sense of shame and was spreading blatant lies. Recalling a past challenge in the Assembly, KTR stated that he had dared Revanth to prove that a 100 percent loan waiver had been implemented in Kondareddy village or the Kodangal constituency. He added that if this was proven, he would take “political sanyas” (retire from politics). According to KTR, Revanth had failed to respond to this challenge.
