Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken a significant step towards reducing pollution and promoting eco-friendly transportation in Hyderabad. The CM recently met Union Minister for Heavy Industries, Kumaraswamy, in Delhi to request support for converting all public buses in Hyderabad to electric models. This initiative aims to create a cleaner and more sustainable urban transport system.

During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy highlighted the state’s proposal under the PM E-Drive scheme. He urged the Union Minister to allocate electric buses to Telangana through the Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model. The CM also proposed retrofitting the existing diesel buses with electric kits, presenting it as a cost-effective way to make the vehicles eco-friendly.
