    Tributes Paid to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in Aija Municipality

    In Jogulamba Gadwal District’s Aija Municipality, public associations gathered to honor Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. They paid rich tributes to his statue by garlanding his portrait and reflecting on his immense contributions to society.

    During the event, speakers highlighted the significant role of Mand Jagannatham in the Telangana movement. They credited his efforts as instrumental in the formation of Telangana and noted how his influence shaped every developmental activity in the Nagar Kurnool constituency, from local to national levels.

    In particular, Jagannatham was praised for his contributions to Aija Mandal. He was credited with securing the establishment of a junior college and municipality in the area. His developmental initiatives helped transform Aija Mandal from an underdeveloped region into a more progressive one. Additionally, his efforts in merging Aija Mandal with Alampur and declaring it a Scheduled Caste (SC) constituency were widely appreciated.

    The speakers also recalled his pivotal role in the MRPS movement and his dedication to social reform. Under the Chandrababu Naidu regime, Jagannatham worked toward caste-based categorization, showcasing his commitment to both social and political progress.

    The event saw the participation of several notable figures, including former MPTC R. Sridhar, Seshanna, Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, Advocate Vijay Kumar, Mala Mallikarjun, Aswa Mareppa, Rangu Maddileti, Gali Reddy, Madanna, Christopher, Teacher Rajesh, Pulikal Narsimhulu, Pulikal Bheemanna, Anand Raju, Vemayya, Thimmayya, and senior leaders like Aanjaneyulu, Hanumanthu, Dr. Raju, Emmanuel, Venkatesh, Krishna, Chagadona Thimmappa, Samelu, Devanna, Sunanda, Mangali Mahesh, and others.

    The attendees expressed their heartfelt gratitude for Mand Jagannatham’s enduring legacy. They acknowledged his efforts in fostering socio-economic and educational development in the region, leaving a lasting impact on its progress.
