    Traffic Restrictions in Hyderabad for International Kite and Sweet Festival

    Hyderabad city police have announced traffic restrictions in view of the International Kite and Sweet Festival-2025. The event will take place at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad from January 13 to 15. During these days, traffic will either be stopped or diverted as needed in the surrounding areas.

    Traffic coming from Rotary ‘X’ Road towards SBH will be diverted at YMCA towards Clock Tower. Similarly, vehicles coming from Rasoolpura heading to Plaza will be diverted at CTO ‘X’ roads towards Balamrai. Additionally, motorists traveling from Picket to SBH and Tivoli will need to take the route via SweekarUpkaar towards YMCA. Traffic from NCC heading to Plaza will be rerouted at Tivoli towards Brookbond.

    Entry Points and Road Closures

    General public entry to the Parade Grounds will be through Gate No. 01 and the East Gate. Police have requested people to avoid roads around Begumpet and Secunderabad Parade Grounds, as traffic congestion is expected on nearby routes. Roads between Tivoli ‘X’ roads and Plaza ‘X’ roads will remain closed during the festival. Congestion is also anticipated at multiple junctions, including Alugadda ‘X’ roads, Sangeeth, YMCA, Patny, SBH, Plaza, CTO, Brookbond, Tivoli Junction, SweekarUpakar, Secunderabad Club, Tadbund, Centre Point, Diamond Point, Bowenpally, Rasoolpura, Begumpet, and Paradise. Motorists are advised to avoid using RP Road and SD Road as well.

    Travel Advice for Passengers

    Passengers traveling by evening trains from Secunderabad Railway Station or buses from Jubilee Bus Station are advised to start early to ensure they reach on time. The police have also recommended using Metro Rail services to avoid delays.

    Parking Arrangements

    Visitors attending the festival can park their vehicles at the following locations: Parade Ground East Gate Parking, Parade Ground West Gate Parking (VIP Parking), Cantonment Playground, Gymkhana Ground, and Bison Polo Ground.
