Producer Dil Raju has apologized publicly after a controversy arose from his comments at the “Sankranthiki Vastunnam” event held in Nizamabad. During his speech, he mentioned meat and toddy as being integral to Telangana’s culture. However, some attendees found these remarks offensive, leading to backlash.

In a video shared on social media, Dil Raju clarified that he never intended to disrespect Telangana’s culture. He explained that his comments were meant to highlight his fondness for the traditional “Dawat” (feast) of the region. Unfortunately, his words were misunderstood, and he apologized for any hurt caused.

“I have a strong bond with Nizamabad, which is why I chose to organize this event here,” Dil Raju said in the video. “My statements were misinterpreted, and I deeply regret the confusion. I only wanted to express my admiration for Telangana’s culture, not insult it.”
