Telangana Public Service Commission Announces New Job Notifications Starting May 2025
The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has confirmed that new job notifications will begin rolling out from May 1, 2025. This update is part of the Commission’s efforts to improve the recruitment process and provide timely job opportunities for candidates in the state.
In a statement, TGPSC officials shared that the state government has been asked to submit details about available vacancies by March 31, 2025. Once this information is received, the Commission will prepare and release the job notifications in April. The recruitment process for these positions is expected to be completed within 6 to 8 months, depending on whether interviews are required for the roles.
TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham assured candidates that results for the Group-1, Group-2, and Group-3 exams will be released within 7 to 10 days. He also stressed the Commission’s commitment to avoiding delays in result announcements. The results for pending exams will be released by March 31, with priority given to exams that have already been completed.
To improve the efficiency of its processes, the TGPSC is adopting new strategies inspired by national-level organizations like the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This includes changes to exam formats, aiming for greater clarity and efficiency in the testing process.
One major change involves the structure of the Group-3 exams. Currently, multiple papers are required, but the Commission plans to streamline this to just three or four papers. This adjustment will align the exam structure more closely with the formats used by UPSC and SSC, making the process simpler for candidates.
Another significant update is the introduction of a new question paper creation system. The Commission plans to build a massive question bank containing 5,000 to 10,000 questions per subject. Exam papers will be drawn from this question bank, ensuring a fair and standardized selection process.
TGPSC is also introducing flexibility in its examination methods. Depending on the nature of the job, both computer-based and manual exams will be offered. This approach aims to address the unique requirements of various positions while making the recruitment process more adaptable.
Finally, the Commission is committed to completing the recruitment process quickly. For roles that require interviews, the process will be finished within one year. For positions without interviews, the entire cycle will be completed in just 6 to 8 months. These measures are expected to significantly reduce waiting times for candidates and improve the overall recruitment experience.
