    Hyderabad: Amid circulating reports about a Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) outbreak in China, the Telangana Health Department has reassured the public that there is no need to panic as no cases have been reported in the state.

    No hMPV Cases in Telangana

    hMPV is a respiratory virus similar to the common cold and flu, which primarily affects young children and older adults, especially during the winter season. However, the Health Department’s analysis of respiratory infection data in Telangana shows no significant increase in cases in December 2024 compared to the previous year.
