Hyderabad: Former MP B Vinod Kumar has criticized R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for claiming credit for the progress of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project. According to Vinod Kumar, the idea of the RRR was originally the brainchild of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He stated that any advancement in the project so far is due to the efforts of KCR and himself.
Vinod Kumar explained that KCR had a clear vision for the RRR, which involves a 300-km stretch designed to help vehicles traveling through Hyderabad bypass the city, thereby reducing traffic congestion. He emphasized that this project was part of KCR’s strategic planning for the region’s infrastructure development.
The former MP also recalled that KCR had held multiple discussions with top officials from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to finalize the highway’s alignment and ensure the project’s feasibility.
While welcoming the recent progress of the RRR project, Vinod Kumar urged the current Congress government not to downplay or disregard the significant contributions made by the previous BRS government in initiating and advancing this ambitious plan.
