Former Minister Srinivas Goud Voices Concerns Over Tirumala Temple Entry Rules

Former minister Srinivas Goud has raised concerns about the treatment of Telangana representatives and devotees at the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh. He expressed frustration that letters of recommendation from Telangana’s elected officials are not being accepted for darshan (visiting the deity). Speaking on the matter, he urged the Andhra Pradesh government to ensure equal treatment for all visitors to the famous temple.

Srinivas Goud made these remarks during a visit to the Jamulamma temple in the Gadwal constituency with his family on Sunday. Later, addressing a press conference at the residence of BRS leader Basu Hanumantha Naidu, he emphasized the deep connection between the Tirupati temple and the people of Telangana. He noted that it is a long-standing tradition for children born in Telangana to visit Tirumala and offer their hair as part of their faith.

Goud further stated that since the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman B R Naidu and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reside in Hyderabad, there should not be any discrimination between devotees from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He claimed that currently, Telangana devotees and their representatives are being treated unfairly as their recommendation letters are not accepted at the temple.
