The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has shared important information with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding the Formula E Car Race case. This includes details about payments made by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), agreements between HMDA and the Formula E Organisation (FEO), and other key documents. The information was provided on Saturday as part of the ongoing investigation.

The ED began its probe into the case on December 20, 2023, after taking note of the findings shared by the ACB. Prominent individuals involved in the case include Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), Arvind Kumar, and BLN Reddy. All three have been issued notices to appear for questioning. Arvind Kumar has been asked to appear on January 2, BLN Reddy on January 3, and KTR is scheduled for questioning on January 7.

The controversy began on December 19, when the ACB registered a case against KTR, Arvind Kumar, and BLN Reddy, accusing them of irregularities related to the Formula E car race. In response, KTR approached the Telangana High Court, requesting the dismissal of the ACB’s FIR against him. The High Court granted an interim order preventing KTR’s arrest until December 31.

However, on December 27, another petition was filed in the High Court seeking to remove the interim protection granted to KTR. The ACB argued that KTR’s continued protection could obstruct the investigation, regardless of whether he is granted bail or not. The case remains under close scrutiny as legal proceedings continue.
