KLH Bachupally Campus Celebrates Remarkable Sports Achievements
KLH Bachupally Campus in Hyderabad is celebrating a year filled with impressive sports achievements and academic successes. The campus has become a hub for nurturing student-athletes who excel at both national and international levels, showcasing their extraordinary talents across various platforms.
Among the standout performers is 18-year-old artistic roller skater Padiga Tejesh, who shone at the World Skate Oceania and Pacific Cup Championship 2024 held in New Zealand. Tejesh won a gold medal in Artistic Roller Skating, a silver medal in Solo Dance Skating, and a bronze medal in the Quad Freestyle Artistic Roller category. Adding to the accolades, swimmer Sai Nihar brought home a gold medal from the prestigious Khelo India Games, along with silver and bronze medals from other national competitions.
Dr. G Partha Saradhi Varma, Vice Chancellor of KL Deemed-to-be University, expressed pride in these achievements. The campus is also home to other sports stars. T. Rahul Azad, a badminton player, secured a gold medal in the South Zone Competition and a silver medal in the All-India Inter-University Championship 2023-24. His success earned him a government position at the AG Office in Vijayawada. Another badminton player, Deepika Madugula, won a gold medal in the Senior National Competition and secured a position with South Central Railways.
Rifle shooter Ch Pranathi had an exceptional year, winning eleven medals across state and national championships. Table tennis player Vrishin also brought glory to the campus with a gold medal in the State Ranking Tournament and the International Men’s Team Event. His achievements continued with a bronze in the International Men’s Singles, a silver in Mixed Doubles, and additional bronze medals in Mixed Doubles and the Men’s Team Event.
Dr. L Koteswara Rao, Principal of KLH Bachupally, along with faculty, staff, and Dr. E. Rajagopal, Head of Sports, consistently encourages students to excel in both academics and sports. The campus promotes a culture of excellence by providing support systems that help young athletes balance their goals on the field and in the classroom.
