Gadwal Lawyers Seek MP's Help to Stop Court Relocation
Members of the Gadwal Bar Association met Member of Parliament DK Aruna in Mahabubnagar to request her assistance in stopping the relocation of the district court to the outskirts of Pooduru. The delegation, led by Bar Association President Raghurami Reddy, presented a memorandum highlighting their concerns about the move.
Before presenting the memorandum, the lawyers held an hour-long discussion with MP DK Aruna to explain the issue in detail. During the meeting, Aruna informed them that she had already brought the matter to the attention of the District Collector as soon as she became aware of it. She noted that the land allocated in Pooduru’s outskirts was considered unsuitable for building court facilities.
Aruna suggested that alternative locations could be explored, as requested by the lawyers. She recommended finding a site closer to the town if possible. She also assured the group that she would discuss the matter again with senior officials and the District Collector to speed up the resolution process.
The MP promised to make every effort to address the lawyers’ concerns and find a suitable solution quickly. She expressed her commitment to ensuring that the issue is resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.
The meeting was attended by Bar Association Vice President Khaja Mainuddin and several lawyers, including Ismail, Sudhakar, Rajasekhar Reddy, Jayasimha Reddy, Muralidhar, Tarun, and Venkateshwar Reddy.
