The students made several allegations against the principal. They claimed he sold school seats for money, physically assaulted students without any reason, and verbally abused them. These actions, according to the students, created a hostile and unsafe environment within the school. Many of the students expressed their concerns tearfully, asking the government and media to bring attention to their plight.

    A 20-Kilometer Protest March

The students walked a distance of 20 kilometers from Beechupally to reach the District Collector’s office. Along the way, Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy joined the march when he encountered the students near Veerapuram village. The MLA paused his personal travel to listen to their grievances. He then contacted District Collector B.Y. Santosh Kumar, urging him to take immediate action against the principal. The MLA assured the students that their voices would be heard and asked the Collector to visit the school in person to address their issues.

    Support from Mounika Foundation

During the march, the students reportedly had no access to food or water. Seeing their struggles, the Mounika Foundation stepped in to assist. The Foundation’s Chairman, Marlabeedu Huzurappa, and Vice Chairman, Udandapuram Ramesh, distributed biscuits and water packets to over 300 students in front of the Collectorate. They also appealed to the District Collector to provide proper facilities for the students and ensure justice. The Mounika Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting social causes.

Students' Demands and Call for Action

The protesting students vowed to continue their fight until the principal is suspended. They also raised concerns about other issues at the school, such as the lack of proper facilities, and demanded immediate intervention from authorities.

This situation highlights the urgent need for better accountability in residential schools. The students’ courage and determination have brought attention to their struggles, prompting officials and organizations to take notice.

    A Call for Safer Schools

This protest serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting student welfare and creating a safe, supportive learning environment for every child. The students’ actions have shed light on deeper systemic issues, urging authorities to take meaningful steps for change.
