Telangana to Showcase Culture and Development at Bharat Parv in Delhi
The Telangana state government has decided to participate in the five-day annual festival, Bharat Parv, organized by the Government of India in Delhi. This comes despite the absence of Telangana tableaux in this year’s Republic Day parade.
Bharat Parv is an annual event that celebrates India’s rich cultural diversity and heritage. It usually takes place around Republic Day and features a variety of activities, including cultural performances, food festivals, craft exhibitions, folk shows, tableaux displays, and even puppet and magic shows. The festival aims to promote the idea of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (One India, Great India) and foster a sense of patriotism among citizens.
Telangana will use this platform to highlight its developmental achievements under the slogan ‘Telangana Rising.’ The state government plans to showcase its progressive policies and projects, including initiatives in tourism, spiritual tourism, medical tourism, and eco-tourism. This participation will also help bring attention to the state’s efforts in promoting new tourism ventures like water sports, houseboats, and river festivals on the Krishna and Godavari rivers, inspired by the Venice Water Carnival.
A major attraction at the event will be Telangana’s and Hyderabad’s famous cuisines. Visitors can look forward to enjoying the iconic Hyderabad biryani and Irani chai, which are expected to draw significant attention. A special creative team has been assigned to design attractive stalls that not only promote Telangana’s cultural and culinary heritage but also enhance the brand image of Hyderabad and the state as a whole.
The Telangana government believes its participation in Bharat Parv will help attract both domestic and international tourists while presenting the state as a progressive and vibrant destination.
