Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind and Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his residence on Sunday to seek support for various infrastructure projects in their constituencies.
The two leaders highlighted the Centre’s recent approval for Navodaya schools in Jagtial and Nizamabad districts. They requested the Chief Minister to allocate 20 acres of suitable land for each of the proposed schools, as the Union Cabinet had recently cleared the project.
In addition to the schools, they discussed pending railway projects within the Nizamabad parliamentary segment. Arvind pointed out that a Railway Over Bridge (RoB) has been delayed for a long time due to the previous government’s failure to release funds on time. He urged the Chief Minister to expedite the completion of RoBs, which are jointly funded by the State and Railways on a 50:50 basis.
The MP also brought up the proposed airport at Jakranpally in Nizamabad district. He requested Revanth Reddy to expedite the survey process so the report could be sent to the Centre for necessary permissions to move the project forward.
Separately, Sanjay Kumar discussed developmental projects in the Jagtial Assembly constituency. He mentioned that Jagtial is likely to receive approval for a Kendriya Vidyalaya and asked the Chief Minister to ensure suitable land is allocated for the school once the Union Government gives its nod.
Both leaders emphasized the need for the State’s cooperation to push these projects forward and improve infrastructure in their respective constituencies.
