Governor Highlights the Power of Meditation
Hyderabad hosted the first-ever World Meditation Day, a proud moment for the city, according to Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor described meditation as a powerful bridge between divinity and humanity.
He praised the efforts of the Kanha Heartfulness Center for promoting positivity and joy through meditation across the globe. Governor Dev Varma also pointed out the increasing challenges faced by society today, emphasizing the role of meditation in building mental resilience, fostering inner peace, and enhancing happiness. He added that meditation encourages wisdom and personal growth, which can have a transformative impact on Indian society.
Minister Speaks on Inner Peace and Youth Issues
Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao addressed the importance of inner calm, questioning how peace could be achieved without mental stability. He expressed concern over the rising problem of drug abuse, particularly how substances like marijuana are harming the future of students and young people.
The minister urged individuals to dedicate 30 minutes to an hour each day to focus on their mental and physical well-being. He also stressed the importance of reviving India’s cultural values, which he feels are fading over time.
Heartfulness President Shares Insight on Spirituality
Kamalesh D Patel, the president of Heartfulness, highlighted the essence of spirituality, stating that it is vital to personally experience what one believes in. He explained that knowledge without experience is like building castles in the sand.
Patel further emphasized that experiencing the presence of divinity once is not sufficient. Instead, individuals should aim to move beyond mere experiences and work toward becoming deeply connected with spiritual growth.
