The arrests were made following a complaint from Batchu Satish, a 48-year-old resident of Padma Nagar Phase II, Chintal, Quthbullapur. The police identified the suspects, Shaik Sameer (alias Haider), aged 22, and Mohammed Hussain, aged 19, using CCTV footage. Over 50 cameras along the suspects’ escape route were analyzed, along with their call data records (CDRs), to track them down.
According to the authorities, Sameer is originally from Sedam, Karnataka, but currently resides in Shapurnagar, Jeedimetla, where he works as a plumber. Hussain, on the other hand, lives in Golkonda and is employed at a radium shop.

On December 5, during the early hours between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., they carried out a robbery near Usha Company in the Balanagar police station area. They stole a gold chain and two mobile phones before fleeing the scene, intending to sell the stolen items later.
