District Collector Urges Speedy Completion of Pending Works
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has called on engineering officials to speed up and complete all pending construction projects across the district.
On Thursday, a review meeting was held at the Collector’s office conference hall to discuss the progress of various ongoing works. Officials from the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, Panchayati Raj, Telangana State Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC), and EWIDC were present.
During the meeting, the Collector reviewed the status of several projects and asked for updates on incomplete works. He specifically urged the EWIDC officials to prioritize finishing the KGBV building at Rajoli and Balasadhan. To ensure accountability, he instructed departments to submit monthly progress reports.
The TSMSIDC officials were directed to accelerate the construction of key facilities like the medical college, nursing college, critical care units, and sub-centers. Similarly, R&B officials were asked to complete pending projects such as Fed.DR works, road extensions, BT (bitumen-treated) roads, connectivity improvements, CC (cement concrete) roads, and building construction projects.
The Collector also emphasized the importance of addressing pending works in villages. He urged all departments to prioritize and complete all sanctioned projects without delay. To ensure progress, he announced his plans to personally inspect these projects soon. Officials were instructed to be ready with detailed updates during these inspections.
