The MLA was speaking as the chief guest at a cheque distribution event for the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes in Nizamabad on Friday. These schemes aim to provide financial assistance to brides from poor and middle-class families to support their marriage expenses.

While appreciating the state government’s efforts to support these families, Dhanpal expressed disappointment over the unmet promise of additional gold. He said that many girls in Telangana had hoped for this assistance, but their expectations have turned into disappointment as the promise remains unfulfilled.

Dhanpal accused the Congress of wasting public money on victory celebrations instead of addressing the genuine needs of the citizens. He added that his party would demand in the assembly that the government provide the promised gold along with the financial aid under these schemes.

At the event, cheques worth Rs 8 crore were distributed to 801 beneficiaries. The program was attended by corporators, local leaders, and other dignitaries.
