Gadwal: Transparent Survey for Indiramma Housing Scheme Underway
District Collector BM Santhosh has instructed officials in Jogulamba Gadwal to carry out a transparent survey to identify eligible beneficiaries for the Indiramma Housing Scheme. The scheme aims to provide homes for the homeless, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving housing conditions.
On Friday, an awareness session was held in the IDOC meeting hall to guide officials on conducting the survey. During the session, officials were trained on using the Indiramma Housing mobile app through a detailed PowerPoint presentation. The Collector urged officials to complete the survey by December 31, 2024, ensuring all field-level conditions of applicants, submitted during the Praja Palana program, are verified using the mobile app.
The state government plans to allocate 3,500 houses per constituency in the first phase of the scheme. In Jogulamba Gadwal district alone, 1,46,832 applications have been received, and 5,663 surveys have been completed so far. To speed up the process, one surveyor has been appointed for every 500 applicants in each gram panchayat, while one supervisor will oversee the work of every four surveyors. Additionally, an MPDO has been designated as the nodal officer to manage the survey at the mandal level.
Surveyors have been directed to complete 30 applications daily and report their progress at the gram panchayat level. The MPDO will monitor their work closely. The Collector emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to government guidelines to avoid errors in data collection. He instructed surveyors to log all details accurately into the Indiramma App and to handle any doubts or discrepancies about an application before uploading it.
To address public concerns, grievance centers will be set up at both the mandal and district levels. A toll-free number will also be provided to offer assistance to the public regarding the scheme.
The survey process requires key documents, such as land ownership certificates. If beneficiaries own land, they must provide proof of ownership. In cases where land is not owned, property tax receipts or white ration card details will be verified instead. Surveyors will also need to upload photographs of the beneficiary, the house’s roof, and the land as part of the verification process.
The Collector stressed the need to raise public awareness about the survey schedule. Residents must be informed in advance to ensure smooth coordination. He instructed MPDOs, mandal panchayat officials, tahsildars, and special mandal officers to work together efficiently to complete the survey within the set timeline.
