Hyderabad: The Telangana government is introducing a new facial recognition-based attendance system at the State Secretariat starting December 12. This system will ensure accurate attendance tracking for all employees working in the building.

To implement this, 60 devices will be installed across the Secretariat. These devices will be placed on each floor, near the lifts, and at the entrance of every department housed in the building. The new system aims to streamline attendance processes and improve efficiency.

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari has officially mandated the use of this system. It will apply to all officers, staff, outsourced employees, and anyone receiving salaries from the Secretariat’s administrative head. This ensures that attendance is uniformly recorded for everyone working within the Secretariat.

Employees are required to use the facial recognition devices at the entry points when they arrive in the morning and when they leave for the day. If there are any issues with recording attendance, staff members are advised to contact the personnel on duty at the entry points. Alternatively, they can send a message or WhatsApp the provided numbers to instantly resolve any problems.
