Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has assured farmers cultivating podu lands that the State government is committed to their empowerment. He announced that solar power would be provided to support their agricultural activities.

Speaking at a press conference at Praja Bhavan on Tuesday, Bhatti stated that he would instruct the Tribal Welfare Department to install facilities for pump sets. This initiative aims to provide solar power to agricultural pump sets for podu farmers who have received land pattas under the Forest Rights Act. “The Tribal department will be directed to make the necessary arrangements for setting up solar power units for podu farmers,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister also emphasized that the ‘Prajavani’ programme will continue without any interruptions, regardless of obstacles. He highlighted that issues raised through Prajavani are being resolved effectively, creating satisfaction among the people. “Our government is conducting Prajavani to build confidence in every citizen. Meeting people’s needs and being accountable to them are our primary goals. We aim to fulfill the objectives outlined in the preamble of the Indian Constitution,” Bhatti explained.

He further stated that Prajavani serves as a platform for citizens to voice their concerns directly to the government. According to Bhatti, the State government is working with accountability and dedication to public welfare. “All departments are focused on benefiting the people. The previous decade under the BRS government failed to address the challenges of podu farmers and the hopes of Telangana’s people,” he said.
