    Honoring Telangana’s Legacy

Jitender spoke passionately about the struggles, sacrifices, and aspirations that shaped Telangana’s history. He noted that since the establishment of the people’s government on December 7, 2023, the state has worked tirelessly for the well-being of its citizens.

He highlighted the government’s commitment to prioritizing people’s welfare, respecting Telangana’s identity, embracing constructive criticism, and advancing democracy. With unwavering dedication, the leaders worked to fulfill the aspirations of the state’s four crore citizens.

    Developmental Initiatives

The government has gone beyond its manifesto promises, implementing six major welfare schemes—Mahalakshmi Scheme, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Housing, Yuva Vikasam, and Cheyutha—and an additional 160 developmental projects. Jitender assured that efforts continue to position Telangana as a state ready for the future.

    Role of Telangana Bhavan

Telangana Bhavan has been a pillar of support for Telangana residents living outside the state, particularly during crises. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bhavan staff worked tirelessly to bring stranded citizens back home. Similarly, during the Ukraine war and other emergencies, the Bhavan coordinated with embassies to ensure the safety of students and residents.

From providing food and accommodation to arranging travel, the Bhavan played a critical role in helping citizens return safely to Telangana. Additionally, it has been instrumental in securing central government funds for the state’s development through continuous coordination with various departments.

    A Renewed Commitment

Reaffirming the government’s dedication, Jitender stated that the welfare of Telangana’s people remains the ultimate goal. The Congress government continues to rededicate itself to serving the state with a focus on progress, welfare, and democracy.

    Attendees

The event saw the participation of Resident Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Uppal, Telangana Bhavan officials, staff members, their families, and members of the Telugu community residing in New Delhi. The celebrations truly reflected the rich cultural heritage and the spirit of Telangana.
