Delta Electronics Partners with Thunder Plus for EV Charging Solutions
Delta Electronics India has teamed up with Thunder Plus, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for two-wheelers (2W) and three-wheelers (3W). Both companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on advanced charging technology. As part of this partnership, Delta will supply high-efficiency 4kW rectifier modules, which will be integrated into Thunder Plus’ fast chargers designed for the low-voltage EV market in India. These rectifiers are being manufactured at Delta’s new facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.
The rectifier modules offer an energy efficiency of up to 93%, which helps reduce charging times and supports the increasing demand for electric vehicles. Delta’s Managing Director, Niranjan Nayak, highlighted the company’s commitment to India’s EV transition. He stated, “This partnership aligns with Delta’s mission to provide clean, energy-efficient solutions. Our local manufacturing in Krishnagiri and R&D in Bengaluru are key to delivering innovative solutions for India’s green future.”
Thunder Plus CEO Rajeev YSR also expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. He noted that Delta’s high-efficiency rectifiers will enable Thunder Plus to deliver reliable and customizable charging solutions to vehicle manufacturers and end users. “This partnership strengthens India’s EV infrastructure and introduces world-class technology to the sector,” YSR said.
This collaboration supports the Indian government’s Make in India initiative by focusing on locally produced advanced charging solutions. As the adoption of 2W and 3W EVs grows rapidly, the need for efficient and reliable charging infrastructure becomes increasingly important. Together, Delta and Thunder Plus aim to address these challenges and contribute to the sustainable growth of India’s EV ecosystem.
