Nagar Kurnool: A New Petrol Pump for Police Welfare
The District Collector of Nagar Kurnool, Badavath Santosh, commended District SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath for his efforts in setting up a petrol pump to support police welfare. The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) petrol pump was inaugurated on the district police station premises. The Collector expressed appreciation for the SP’s proactive work in securing financial resources for the police department.
The initiative aims to generate funds for police welfare, especially during emergencies, as the department often faces limited funding. The Collector noted that the petrol pump would supply high-quality fuel to both police vehicles and the general public, with the revenue being directed toward welfare activities for police personnel.
In addition to the petrol pump, SP Gaikwad has also taken steps to establish a welfare hospital for police officers and their families. This demonstrates his commitment to improving the health and well-being of his team. During the event, the SP acknowledged the efforts of Additional SP Bharat Kumar, who played a key role in obtaining approvals and completing the project quickly.
IOCL’s Deputy General Manager, Sudipta Mishra, shared gratitude for the collaboration with the police department. She assured continued support for such initiatives. As part of the inauguration, both the Collector and the SP initiated fuel sales by refueling their official vehicles.
The launch event was attended by several notable officials, including IOCL Manager Sudeeptha Mishra, Additional SPs Ch. Rameshwar and T.A. Bharat, Nagarkurnool DSP Burri Srinivas, Achampet DSP Srinivas, and many other police personnel, CIs, and SIs from across the district.
