Telangana Sees Growth in Property Registration Revenue
Telangana has seen a significant increase in revenue from property registrations. Official figures revealed that in November this year, the state generated an additional Rs 32.96 crore compared to the same period last year.
Last November, the state earned Rs 1,127.79 crore from property registrations. This year, the revenue rose to Rs 1,160.75 crore, with a total of 1,19,317 documents registered. This marks a 13.38% increase in the number of documents registered and a 2.92% rise in revenue.
Officials from the State Stamps and Registration Department noted positive growth in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) area. In November alone, the HMDA area saw a revenue growth of Rs 21.09 crore. In non-HMDA areas, Rs 202.78 crore was generated.
The officials also highlighted that revenue growth was higher from registrations of houses and residential complexes compared to commercial properties. This trend indicates a rise in residential property sales across the state in recent months.
