    Collector Conducts Surprise Inspections in Wanaparthy District

    The Collector of Wanaparthy District made surprise visits on Wednesday to assess various facilities and services in the area. The inspections included a visit to the KGBV School in Revalli Mandal Center, the Zilla Parishad High School in Talpunur village, and a rice purchasing center operated under IKP.

    At the KGBV School, the Collector inspected the room where cooking utensils were stored and reviewed the registers. He emphasized the importance of maintaining proper records, instructing that stock entries should be made immediately upon arrival. Additionally, he suggested that stock unloading should take place in the presence of students. Special attention was given to checking the expiry dates of cooking items. During the visit, the Collector joined the students for a meal to assess the quality of the mid-day meal program.

    The Collector provided further guidance regarding the mid-day meal service. He suggested that supervisors should taste the food before serving it to students. If the food is not up to standard, it should be re-prepared. He stressed that providing quality, tasty meals to the students is a priority.

    In Talpunur Zilla Parishad High School, the Collector instructed the MPDO to address infrastructure issues. He directed that doors, windows, and gates should be installed to avoid inconvenience to students. Additionally, he recommended immediate steps to construct toilets in the school.

    At the rice purchasing center, the Collector reviewed the process of weighing and loading paddy brought by farmers. He instructed that the paddy should be processed as soon as the specified moisture content is met. To streamline operations, he suggested that farmers make entries in the registers upon bringing their paddy and that a tab entry be made after weighing. The Collector also directed the APM to maintain uniform register-keeping practices across all centers in the mandal. To reduce congestion at the centers, he advised ensuring the availability of fans for ventilation.

    The visit was accompanied by ZP CEO Yadayya, DPRO Sitaram, Revalli Tahsildar Lakshmi Devi, MPDO Narasimha Reddy, teachers, and other staff members. The Collector’s visit aimed to ensure better services and facilities for students and farmers in the district.
