Hyderabad: BRS MLA KP Vivekanand stated on Tuesday that five Congress MLAs, who are keeping their distance from Congress leader Revanth Reddy’s tours, are in contact with the BRS party chief. He claimed that these MLAs are ready to join the BRS if the party chief agrees.
Speaking at a press conference alongside MLA M Krishna Rao at Telangana Bhavan, Vivekanand addressed questions about BRS MLAs switching to Congress. He dismissed the idea of BRS leaders being interested in Congress, saying, “Revanth has put pressure on the BRS MLAs who joined Congress. Many senior leaders are in communication with KCR. The future remains uncertain.”
The BRS MLA also accused Congress of targeting their party members, including social media supporters, in villages. He claimed that illegal cases were being filed against them. “The police should remember that this government is not permanent,” Vivekanand warned.
