Bhadrachalam: Padayatra by Kaki Govinda Reddy Concludes
The Padayatra undertaken by Kaki Govinda Reddy, the Greater Visakhapatnam 69th Ward Corporator and former MBC Chairman of Andhra Pradesh, successfully concluded in Bhadrachalam on Sunday.
Kaki Govinda Reddy had taken a vow in 2023 after the alleged illegal arrest and imprisonment of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He pledged to undertake a Padayatra if Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh again. True to his promise, Reddy embarked on the journey from his hometown, Tunglam village in Visakhapatnam district, to Bhadrachalam.
The Padayatra began on November 20, coinciding with the birth star of Sri Rama, and culminated with a visit to the temple of Sri Rama in Bhadrachalam. Kaki Govinda Reddy expressed his gratitude to district party presidents, constituency members, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists, Janasena activists, Rama devotees, and Telangana State TDP leaders for their support throughout the journey.
Along with Kaki Govinda Reddy, 30 other leaders and activists participated in the Padayatra, making it a significant event for the party and its supporters.
