Pushpa 2 Set for Release Amid Controversy
The highly anticipated movie Pushpa 2, starring Icon Star Allu Arjun, is all set to hit the screens on December 5. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the sequel, but the film’s release has sparked controversy due to ticket pricing and premiere show timings.
The Telangana government has granted permission for special premiere shows to begin as early as 1:50 AM. Additionally, ticket prices have been approved for a hike, with premiere show tickets costing up to ₹800 and regular show tickets increased to ₹200 from December 5 to 8. Reports suggest there could be further price hikes after this period.
Unlike previous practices where theatre owners kept the additional revenue from price hikes, the extra money this time is expected to go directly to the film’s producers. This unusual arrangement, combined with the steep price increases, has drawn criticism from the public.
In response to the backlash, a petition has been filed in the Telangana High Court challenging the ticket pricing and scheduling decisions. The court’s ruling on the matter is now eagerly awaited, as it could have significant implications for the film’s release and future movie pricing policies.
