Hyderabad: The leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) have criticized the Congress government, accusing it of failing on all fronts in the past year.
Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao, speaking on Sunday, stated that the Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, has done little apart from making speeches and praising himself. He added that no one else is appreciating the government’s performance. “Right now, every sector in the state is facing challenges due to the Chief Minister’s lack of maturity, capability, and his negative approach. We handed over a state with strong economic growth, but under your rule, there has been no progress as expected,” Harish Rao said.
Harish Rao also accused the Congress government of being unable to boost the state’s revenues or fulfill the promises it made to the public before the elections. He claimed that the Chief Minister spread false information, alleging that the previous BRS government had taken loans worth Rs 7 lakh crore. “The CM needs to understand that no government can hide such details. Loans are public information, and all data is available in the public domain,” he added.
Challenging the Chief Minister, Harish Rao called for an open debate on the loans taken by the BRS government during its tenure. He urged the CM to fix a date and choose any media channel for the debate.
