Konda Surekha underlined the need for eco-tourism projects to follow a scientific and environmentally sustainable approach. The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) is leading initiatives to enhance eco-tourism facilities in the state. These efforts include improving the forest guest house in Amrabad, launching an eco-tourism pilot project in the coming weeks, and offering activities such as safaris, trekking, caravan camping, and boating at Somashila.

The department has also identified 18 potential eco-tourism circuits across Telangana for phased development. The minister proposed integrating eco-friendly infrastructure into these projects, such as sustainable lodging, renewable energy systems, and green transportation. She stressed that all developments must strictly adhere to forest and wildlife protection laws.

The minister concluded by emphasizing that fostering a sense of responsibility toward forest preservation and biodiversity is key to the success of eco-tourism in Telangana.
