Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender stated that the Telangana BJP is ready to take up Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s challenge for a debate. The debate would focus on the promises made by the Congress party and how well they have been implemented.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Rajender said, “Why did Prime Minister Narendra Modi talk about the implementation of your promises? We are here, Revanth! Let’s decide where to hold this discussion. We are ready. Let’s focus on your six guarantees, not the 420 assurances.”

Rajender also said that people are mocking the Congress government for celebrating one year in power. According to him, most people believe that the Congress government has failed in all aspects. He pointed out that the previous government had taken 14,000 acres of land in Mucharla, and farmers who lost their land were forced to become laborers. The Congress Party had promised in its manifesto to cancel the Pharma City project and return the land to the farmers. However, Rajender said that instead of returning the land, the Congress is now planning to acquire another 16,000 acres for a project called the Fourth City.

The BJP MP further criticized the government, saying it is trying to take more land from farmers for real estate purposes. He also mentioned that farmers in Kodangal are being threatened and told that they will not get their land back if they refuse to cooperate.
