Tension rose in Shamshabad, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, on Saturday night after a group of miscreants damaged idols at a temple. This has marked the third such incident in the Shamshabad mandal within just a week. In response, local police have tightened security in the area.

According to reports, the troublemakers entered the Pochamma Temple in Jukal village, Shamshabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district, around midnight. Inside the temple, they damaged three deity idols. The locals managed to catch one of the individuals involved, beat him up, and handed him over to the police.

Soon after, members of local Hindu organizations arrived at the temple and staged a brief protest. They demanded strict action against the miscreants responsible for the attack.

Just days earlier, on Tuesday morning, November 5, a similar incident occurred at a temple in Airport Colony, Shamshabad. A priest noticed that several idols had been damaged when he arrived to perform a pooja. It was reported that the miscreants had opened the temple gate and used stones to break the idols.

In response to these incidents, various Hindu organizations called for a bandh, or shutdown, in Shamshabad municipality the following day. Many people voluntarily participated in the bandh, demanding the arrest of those responsible for the vandalism.

Protesters gathered at the Shamshabad bus stand, where they burned an effigy of a terrorist. They demanded the death penalty for the person involved in the desecration and called for an investigation into the series of attacks on temples in the area.

In addition, the protesters raised slogans against the government, accusing it of failing to prevent the attacks on temples. They also demanded an impartial investigation to uncover the conspiracy behind these repeated incidents.
