The State government will be celebrating a 26-day event called ‘Praja Vijayotsavalu,’ starting from November 14. This celebration marks the completion of one year of the Congress government in power. The event will end with a grand celebration in the City on December 9.

During the celebrations, the government will raise awareness among the public about the schemes and benefits they have implemented. Some of the key programs include free travel for women on RTC buses, Rs 500 LPG gas, 200 units of free electricity, Rajiv Aarogyashri, and Indira Mahila Shakti. The celebrations will begin on November 14, which is also the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru. The concluding event on December 9 will feature performances by thousands of artists, laser shows, and fireworks.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka led a meeting on Saturday to plan the celebrations. He discussed various programs to be held during the 26 days, focusing on the government’s development and welfare activities over the past year. Bhatti instructed officials to ensure the event showcases the government’s vision under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

The celebrations will include several important events. These will include handing out appointment letters to Group-4 candidates, laying the foundation stone for a new sports university, and many other government institutions. The government will also announce new policies for different departments. There will be signing of agreements with companies, the launch of a new State Disaster Response Force, and an increase in the police’s anti-drug campaign. Other activities like dog shows and police band performances will also be part of the celebrations.
