Yadagirigutta, Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, has announced that the temple town of Yadadri will now officially be called Yadagirigutta. This change will be reflected in all official records and will also be used in daily government programs.
The decision to rename Yadadri to Yadagirigutta was made during a review meeting on the development of the Yadagirigutta temple. This meeting was held on Friday.
On his birthday, the Chief Minister visited the Yadagirigutta temple, where he performed special prayers. He also reviewed ongoing temple development projects. The review was attended by members of his cabinet, as well as MLAs and MLCs from the old Nalgonda district.
The Chief Minister announced plans to create a “Yadagirigutta Temple Board,” similar in status to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) governing body. This board will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the Yadagirigutta temple, which is dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
In addition, the government is planning to introduce a new “Cow Protection Policy.” Revanth Reddy has asked the Endowment authorities to create a draft policy for cow protection and to establish the Temple Board as soon as possible.
The Chief Minister also instructed officials to introduce a specific policy for cow protection in Goshalas (cow shelters) and to use modern technology to ensure cows are well looked after. He also inquired about the current protections in place for cows at the temple.
Additionally, Revanth Reddy directed officials to provide sleeping facilities for devotees visiting the temple and urged them to finish the gold plating work on the Vimana Gopuram in time for the Brahmotsavam festival. He also requested that any land acquisition issues related to the temple’s development be resolved quickly, with the necessary funds being released promptly.
