Hyderabad: A large number of people gathered at Gandhi Bhavan to meet Minister Konda Surekha during a grievance redressal programme. They came with various requests, hoping the Minister could help resolve their issues. Many of them were eager to benefit from a new housing scheme, Indiramma Indlu, which the State government is planning to launch soon.

Minister Konda Surekha had just returned from Medak, where she had been involved in launching a caste census. Despite her busy schedule, she quickly took charge of the grievance programme. Most of the people who came to the meeting were from underprivileged backgrounds. They requested help under different government schemes, including monthly pensions, free electricity, and gas benefits under the Mahalakshmi scheme. A large number of attendees specifically asked for assistance under the upcoming Indiramma Indlu housing scheme.

On Wednesday, a total of 130 applications were submitted. Out of these, 63 were related to departments not directly under the Minister’s control. These applications were later forwarded to the relevant departments. Another 37 applications were about other issues like job placements and transfers. Minister Konda Surekha worked with the concerned officials to address these matters. She is the latest minister to participate in the grievance redressal programme, following IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, who attended a similar event on October 23.
