    Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has asked Governor Jishnu Dev Varma to inform the Union government about the state’s decision to conduct a caste survey. He also requested that the survey be taken into account during the national census in 2025.

    The Chief Minister, along with his cabinet members, Congress MPs, and state government advisors, met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

    During the meeting, the CM’s team explained the details of the social, economic, educational, employment, political, and caste survey that the state has started. They briefed the Governor on the official process followed for the survey.

    Revanth Reddy mentioned that Telangana could become a role model for the rest of the country in conducting such a comprehensive survey.

    Officials stated that the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the survey for helping the poorer sections of society. The use of the survey data in the upcoming national census was also a key point of discussion between the CM and the Governor.
