Hyderabad: The Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (THANA) organized a state convention called THANACON-2024 on Sunday at the Novotel HICC in Hyderabad. The event was led by the Greater Hyderabad and Rangareddy District Medchal, Vikarabad Branch. The one-day convention was inaugurated by Telangana State Public Health Director, Dr. N. Ravinder Nayak.

The conference focused on providing solutions to challenges that nursing homes and hospitals face. It included panel discussions on topics such as Consumer Forum cases, the survival of smaller hospitals, and the implementation of the Aarogya Sri scheme.

Another important theme of the event was improving the quality of healthcare services. The conference highlighted the importance of accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) through the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).

Speaking at the event, Dr. Ravinder Nayak emphasized the significant role both government and private hospitals play in delivering healthcare to people. He added that Telangana has become a hub for medical tourism, with many people from across the country coming to the state for treatment. This, he said, reflects the skill and dedication of the doctors and healthcare professionals in Telangana.
