Hyderabad: The government has created a special “Dedicated Commission” to study the backwardness of Backward Classes (BCs) in local bodies across the State.

On Monday, the government issued an order appointing Busani Venkateshwara Rao, a retired IAS officer, as the head of this Commission. To assist him, B Saidulu, an IFS officer and Secretary of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (MJPTBCWREIS), was named as the secretary.

The Commission will gather information and submit a detailed report to the State government. They aim to complete this report as quickly as possible, ideally within one month.

To help speed up the process, the Commission will review information already collected by the Backward Classes Commission. They may also ask for help from different government departments, experts, and researchers.
