Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a meeting with the newly appointed Vice Chancellors of state universities on Saturday at the Telangana Secretariat. During the meeting, he stressed the urgent need to rebuild trust and respect for higher education institutions in the region.

CM Reddy expressed concern about the declining confidence in universities. He instructed the Vice Chancellors to conduct a detailed review of the current university systems, which he said have been compromised. The Chief Minister asked them to identify steps needed to restore the integrity and effectiveness of these institutions.

He also highlighted the importance of merit-based appointments. Reddy assured the Vice Chancellors that they were selected based on their qualifications and social equity, without any external influence. He urged them to work hard to improve the reputation of the Congress government through their leadership.
