Hyderabad: A special religious event, the Shri Rama Yantram Rath Yatra, began on October 27. The Yatra started from Tirupati and was inaugurated by Shri Kanch Swami Jagadguru Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal.

The Rath Yatra will travel through five different states. Along the way, it will receive support from various villages. The journey will end in Ayodhya, also known as Shri Rama Nagari, on November 16. After that, a major religious event called the Maha Yagam will begin on November 18.

The Maha Yagam, formally known as the Sri Maha Narayana Divya Rudra Sahita Shata Sahasra Chandi Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagam, will take place from November 18, 2024, to January 1, 2025. This grand ritual will be led by Brahmarshi Sri Yanamandra Venugopala Shastry, who is highly respected for his deep knowledge of Vedic practices.

More than 1,200 Vedic scholars from all over India will participate in this sacred event. The yagam is organized by three major religious trusts: the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya, the Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Peetham in Kanchi, and the Chinmayi Seva Trust in Vizianagaram.
