During his speech, the SP told the students that while they should do well in school, they should also stay informed about society and how the police work to keep everyone safe. Around 600 students from SR International School and Social Welfare Schools attended the event on its third and final day.

The SP explained that the three-day Open House was designed to help students understand the police department better. He said it’s important for students to know what a police station is, how it works, and how the police maintain law and order. Stalls were set up at the event to showcase different police services, such as SHE Teams, Cyber Security Wing, Communication, Anti-Drug Unit, Arms Exhibition, Dog Squad, and Bomb Disposal Unit.

    – Friendly Policing and how beat and patrolling systems work to ensure public safety.
    – Use of modern technology like face recognition and portable fingerprint devices to identify criminals.
    – The role of CCTV cameras in preventing and solving crimes quickly.
    – How SHE Teams and Bharosa Centers protect women and girls.
    – Demonstrations of police weapons, explaining how and when they are used.
    – The role of bomb squads in safely defusing explosives.
    – Precautions against cybercrimes, such as avoiding contact with strangers online, and reporting incidents to the cybercrime helpline number, 1930.
    – How police dogs help in identifying criminals, thieves, and explosives.

Officers from different police departments, including the bomb squad, IT Core, Bharosa staff, SHE Teams, Fingerprints, and Communication teams, educated the students about various aspects of police work.

The event was attended by Armed Forces DSP Narendra Rao, RI Venkatesh, Harif, and RSI officers. Along with the police officers, 600 students and teachers from SR School and Social Welfare School participated in the event.
