Hyderabad: The BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) has planned a protest in Vikarabad on October 19 against the farmers’ project. This was announced by the party’s working president, KT Rama Rao, on Wednesday. He explained that while the government had issued a Government Order (GO) for the project, the land was not handed over due to protests from environmentalists.

During a press conference after a meeting with city MLAs, KT Rama Rao clarified that the BRS government had indeed approved the project but couldn’t proceed with land allocation due to opposition from environmental groups. He emphasized that there should not be different rules for eco-sensitive zones, whether it’s near the Ganga river or the Musi river. He also mentioned that the farmers’ project should be established in an area with a large forest.

In addition, KT Rama Rao informed that BRS party MLAs would soon visit the sewage treatment plant (STP) sites constructed during the BRS regime. He also reiterated that the HYDRA system was introduced to keep realtors and builders in check.
