    5 IAS Officers Assigned Additional Responsibilities in Telangana

    Hyderabad: The Telangana government has made several key changes in the roles of IAS officers. On Wednesday, after relieving four AP cadre IAS officers, new responsibilities were assigned to others.

    Dr. Ilambarithi K, an IAS officer, has been given additional charge as the new Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

    N. Sridhar, currently the Principal Secretary in the Scheduled Castes Development Department, will now also take on the role of Principal Secretary in the Youth Advancement, Tourism, and Culture Department. In addition, he will continue to serve as the Director of Archaeology.

    Sandeep Kumar Sultania, who is the Principal Secretary in the Finance Department, will now also take charge as Secretary in the Energy Department. He will serve as the Chairman and Managing Director of both Genco and Transco, the state’s power generation and transmission companies.

    Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, the Secretary in the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department, will now also serve as the Director of AYUSH, which focuses on traditional medicine and healthcare systems.

    Lastly, Dr. T.K. Sreedevi, the Commissioner of the Scheduled Castes Development Department, is now appointed as Secretary of the Women Development and Child Welfare Department.

    These changes are part of a broader reshuffling of administrative roles in Telangana.
