Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expressed his full support for the establishment of a very low frequency (VLF) communication transmission radar station at Vikarabad. This project, which is being developed for national security purposes, will receive complete cooperation from the State government. Reddy emphasized that the political controversies raised by opponents will not affect this important project.

At the foundation laying ceremony held in Puduru, Ranga Reddy district, where Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present, the Chief Minister reiterated that the State government will not compromise on matters related to national security. He accused the Opposition of trying to create unrest among the local population for political reasons, but clarified that the necessary clearances for the project were given during the previous government.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who laid the foundation stone for the project, called it a ‘growth pole’ that will drive economic development in the region. He stressed the strategic importance of the facility, explaining that it will enhance India’s maritime capabilities and help protect the country’s security and sovereignty, particularly as the Indian Ocean gains more global attention. Singh praised the Chief Minister for his cooperation and assured that environmental concerns related to the project will be addressed.
