Passengers in Medak’s Narsapur mandal staged a protest at the RTC bus stand, expressing their frustration over high bus fares. They gathered in front of the bus stand, demanding that the issue be addressed by the RTC officials.
The protestors claimed that the RTC was charging excessive fares by labelling some buses as special services, even though they were regular Palle Velugu buses. This, they argued, was unfair and particularly problematic during the festive season when many people depend on public transport.
The passengers called for immediate action, urging the RTC to stop taking advantage of travellers by increasing fares during the holiday period. They emphasized that the fare hikes were putting an additional burden on people who rely on buses to travel during festivals.
